Community Grants

Each year, Auburn Rotary club provides grants to local nonprofit organizations as part of its community grants program. Grants are provided through fundraising and membership in the club. The Community Market was the recipient of the largest grant.

Organization Project Description
Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lee County funding to cover the costs of weekly music lessons and transportation of students
Community Market (Food Bank) acquisition of food for distribution by the Community Market
Lee County Literacy Coalition funding to purchase marketing materials to foster growth of the organization
Lee County Partnership for Children childcare expenses for low-income, working parents
Mercy Medical Clinic to help to provide medical services to patients that cannot afford to pay for services
Salvation Army of Lee County purchase meals for seniors through Senior Feeding Program
Alabama Rural Ministry purchase materials necessary to repair homes for two elderly members of the community
Habitat for Humanity to provide construction materials for the framing and building of a home for a family in need in the community
Our House Auburn provide funds to purchase computer and printer equipment for children
Joyland Child Development expansion of childcare - infant and toddler room
Abilities Unlimited provide scholarships for students seeking assitance
Auburn Theraputic Summer Day Camp to purchase art supplies for the program
Hope and Future Ministries to purchase printers and computer training stations
Rape Counslers of East Alabama to provide asstance through their victim fund
Friends of the Auburn Public Library to purchase materials to provide a year-long STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) program
Sheriff's Girls Ranch to purchase cows to provide a food source to children in care
Young Life Auburn Opelika support youth for ministry camp by providing camp cost
Lee County 4-H promotion and education of choking hazards to youth
