Gerald Johnson, PhD, Professor Emeritus in political science at Auburn University, spoke to the Rotary Club of Auburn AL regarding the local movement entitled, “Spirit of Democracy”. Johnson suggests that democracy is in danger due to a citizenry that is not civically engaged due to misinformation, lack of credible information and a society that demonizes politics and politicians.
